We are looking for motivated and passionate young individuals who are eager to contribute to a diverse and dynamic learning environment.
To apply through the UWC Trinidad & Tobago national committee, you must meet the following criteria:
Candidates applying through UWC Trinidad & Tobago must:
for no less than 3 years.
If you are unsure if you should apply via a different UWC national committee, please contact us for clarification.
In general applicants must be between 15 years and 18 years old at the time of enrolment. This typically aligns with students entering the final two years of secondary education, but specific age requirements may vary by UWC school or college.
All UWC schools and colleges have similar age ranges that they can accept as students. However, there are slight variations between them.
For the offers available through the National Committee for Entry 2026-2028, applicants must be born between specific dates in order to be eligible for the respective Colleges. Once UWC T&T has received the offer for this period the age requirements will be posted below.

Exceptions:
These applicants should note that the Selection Committee’s ability to nominate them for a place will be dependent on whether the schools offering places to the National Committee are able to accept students who are older/younger than normal. The Committee will pay special attention to the emotional maturity of students who are younger than normal.
Applicants should be currently enrolled in, or have recently completed, Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) or equivalent or in at least your 5th year of high school. A strong academic record is important, but we also value a demonstrated commitment to learning beyond the classroom.
While academic excellence is important, UWC seeks students who exhibit:
The resilience and adaptability needed for an international and rigorous residential educational experience.
UWC schools and colleges primarily use English as the language of instruction. While fluency is not required at the time of application, applicants are advised to attain a basic proficiency in English and demonstrate a willingness to improve their language skills.
Please review the UWC T&T Selection Policy for further details with respect to eligibility.
If you have any questions with respect to your eligibility, do not hesitate to email the UWC T&T Chief Executive Officer at [email protected]
